SendGrid integration

You can connect your SendGrid account to become the sender on outbound emails to your candidates and recruiting clients instead of using Dropboard's emailing system. Being the sender of these emails is a good way to enhance your organization's branding.

Billing

You need our Business plan or higher for this feature.

Go to Settings > Custom Email Sender and choose "SendGrid" as the integration you'd like to enable.

  1. First, you'll need to make sure you have created a SendGrid account and have gone through the setup process there.
  2. Visit this link within SendGrid to find your API key
  3. Back in Dropboard, enter whatever "From name" you'd like on your emails. Ergo, "Acme Recruiting, Inc."
  4. Then enter the email address of one of your verified senders from SendGrid. Ergo: "recruiting@acmeinc.com"
  5. Finally, add any required information that must show in the footer of your outbound emails. Please refer to SendGrid's requirements regarding what is necessary here.

Verification

When you save your settings, Dropboard will send a verification email through your SendGrid account to test that everything is set up properly.

What emails does this setting control?

  • Confirmation emails to candidates
  • New candidate emails to your hiring managers
  • All emails to your recruiting client members

Advanced usage

In your footer text, you may use limited Markdown format as a way to add links or other rich-formatted text.
