Custom domain
With our Recruiter plan, you can create a white-labeled version of Dropboard for your clients. Set a DNS record on your website and you can host Dropboard on your own domain.
How to create your custom domain
- Log into the website where you manage your website's domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)
- Find your DNS settings
- Create a new "CNAME" record
- Choose your subdomain (ergo: "recruiting" for recruiting.acme.com) and enter it for the host name.
- Set the value to
host.dropboardhq.com
- Save the record
- In Dropboard, under Clients > Your Portal, submit your full domain in the setting for your custom domain: "recruiting.acme.com"
Step 4 help
These steps may appear differently depending on your host. Most DNS providers want you to just enter the subdomain ("recruiting") in step 4. Some, however, may want you to enter the entire domain like so: "recruiting.acme.com"
Steps in Dropboard
Using a root domain
If you want your white-labeled portal to not have a subdomain, ergo you would like to use something like "acmerecruiters.com," follow these steps:
- Log into the website where you manage your website's domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)
- Find your DNS settings
- Create a new "A" record
- Set the value to
75.2.96.173
- Save the record
- Create a second "A" record
- Set the value to
99.83.186.151
- Save the record
- In Dropboard, under "Clients" and "Self-service portal," submit your full domain in the setting for your custom domain: "recruiting.acme.com"
